42 metres above the River Thames, specailist contractors have erected Side Access Platforms to each side of the East Walkway.

Repainting the high-level walkways will take approximately five months to complete.

The new paintwork, which has a life expectancy of 25 years, is essential to protect the steelwork and preserve the bridge for future generations.
